Volunteer

New Orleans Outreach works to place parents, professionals, retirees, community members, and university students throughout our partner schools as tutors, teacher assistants, interns, and administrative assistants. Outreach will work with you to determine how your interests and schedule best match the needs of our schools. Our goal is to enhance the educational experience of the students we serve and to provide a fulfilling position for our volunteers.

Please note:
In order to successfully meet the needs of the schools that we serve, most of our volunteer positions require an ongoing commitment throughout a semester or a school year, of at least one to two hours per week. However, guest speakers, Power Ties career awareness workshops, and physical improvement needs can be met through short-term volunteering.

Orientation:
We hold orientations at least once a month at our main office.
